Anna Cortini was born in 1991 in Forlì (Italy), where she began studying piano at a young age. In 2015, she earned her Piano Diploma (Master’s degree; final grade of 9.75/10) from the “G. B. Martini” Conservatory (Bologna), under the guidance of M° Victoria Pontecorboli. During her studies, she performed as a piano soloist in 2011 at the “B. Maderna” Conservatory (Cesena). In 2012, she performed a solo piano recital for the music magazine “Musica in Fiore,” published by the “G. B. Martini” Conservatory (Bologna). In 2015, she performed a solo piano recital at the “A. Masini” Music Institute (Forlì). In 2017, she performed for the music magazine “Béla Bartók—The Pianist—Anthology of Songs” at the “G. B. Martini” Conservatory (Bologna), edited by Maestro Francesco Dilaghi. In 2018, she performed as a piano soloist in the musical program “Il Vincolo della Forma,” organized by the “Finis Terrae” Association (Bologna). Throughout her training, she participated in various piano masterclasses led by Maestro Piernarciso Masi, Luigi Tanganelli, Maurizio Baglini, Davide Franceschetti, and Tatiana Levitina. Since 2009, alongside her studies as a soloist, she has been studying chamber music—in particular, the repertoire for clarinet, viola, and violin—at the “B. Maderna” Conservatory (Cesena) and the “G. Verdi” Music Institute (Ravenna), with Maestro Piero Vincenti, Maestro Luciano Bertoni, and Maestro Paolo Chiavacci. Since 2011, she has been working as an accompanist for auditions, rehearsals, and exams at the “G. B. Martini” Conservatory (Bologna), the “G. Verdi” Music Institute (Ravenna), the “B. Maderna” Conservatory (Cesena), and the “G. Verdi” Conservatory (Milan). In 2015–2016, she completed a post-diploma internship at the “G. B. Martini” Conservatory (Bologna), where she worked as a pianist in chamber music classes and exams, performing classical and contemporary repertoire under the guidance of Maestro Guido Felizzi. During the internship, she also specialized in piano pedagogy in Maestro Victoria Pontecorbol’s piano class. In 2016–2017, she worked as a piano teacher for the “MusicaPer” Association (Bologna) as part of the “Musica Scuola” project, sponsored by the Emilia-Romagna Regional Education Service.
