Participated in the 2025 edition as a “Young Talent”

He began his musical studies in 2015 at the Conservatório de Guimarães – Vieira do Minho branch, in the class of Rómulo Vieira. In 2020, he continued his studies at the Conservatório de Música Calouste Gulbenkian de Braga under Ricardo Pereira, and in 2023 he was admitted to the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, also studying with Ricardo Pereira.

Throughout his musical development, he has worked with several renowned trombonists, including Gabriel Antão, Severo Martínez, Joaquim Rocha, Christian Lindberg, João Martinho, Zeferino Pinto, Brian Wendel, Sergi Miñana, André Melo, Isobel Daws, György Gyivicsán, Justin Clark, Dawid Seidenberg, Hugo Assunção, Juan Carlos Matamoros, Francisco Guillén, Emanuel Rocha, Jonathan Hollick, Vincent Lepape, Martin Schippers, Lars Karlin, Filipe Alves, Vincent Climent, Fabrice Millischer, Peter Steiner, as well as the ensemble Portuguese Brass.

He has also participated in several festivals and orchestral training programmes, including the Festival Internacional de Trombone (Braga, 2021), the Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa Júnior Festival – Golden Edition, the International Trombone Festival 2023 in Salt Lake City (Utah), and various wind band training courses.

As an orchestral musician, he has worked under the direction of conductors such as Diogo Costa, Fernando Marinho, Martin André, Douglas Bostock, Rafa Agulló Albors, José Eduardo Gomes, Robert Houlihan, Maxime Aulio, Jean-Marc Burfin, Quentin Hindley, Evan Rogister, Giancarlo Guerrero, and Hannu Lintu.

In 2023, he was placed on the reserve list for the Concertgebouworkest Young and the Moritzburg Festival Academy. In 2024, he was selected for the Orchestre des Jeunes de la Méditerranée and placed on the reserve list for the Orchestre de Paris Academy. In 2025, he was again on the reserve list for the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO).

In 2020, he was awarded 3rd Prize at the International Moscow Music Competition. In 2022, he received 1st Prize at the PaMus Flow Global Music Competition. In 2023 and 2024, he was a finalist in the Gilberto Gagliardi Tenor Trombone Competition, organized by the International Trombone Association (ITA).
