This research work includes a literature review that brings together contributions from different authors on the mechanisms involved in reading a musical score at first sight, proposing approaches for developing this ability in percussion lessons.

A vibraphone specialist from the Conservatoire de Strasbourg, he has developed an intense artistic activity focused on promoting solo vibraphone repertoire by Portuguese composers. He is responsible for commissioning and premiering new works by Portuguese composers, both as a soloist and in chamber music contexts.

He has performed in contexts such as “Bienal Aveiro Síntese” (Teatro Aveirense), “Festivais de Outono” (Aveiro), “Novos Talentos” (Teatro Rivoli, Porto), “Talentos Emergentes” (O’culto da Ajuda, Lisbon), “Guimarães Allegro”, “Gravíssimo!” (Alcobaça), the television program “InMusic Portugal” broadcast on Canal Q, and the “Antena 2 Concert Season” (live broadcast).

He is a founding member of chamber music groups such as Apophenia Duo, Aestuarium Ensemble, and NoMad Duo.
