Luís Leitão

Luís Leitão was born in Reguengos de Monsaraz and had his first musical contact at the age of nine in a philharmonic band, when he started playing the euphonium. Two years later he started playing the tuba at the Sociedade Filarmónica Harmonia Reguenguense, where he studied with João Defeza. From 2019 to 2022 he studied at the Escola Profissional Metropolitana with teachers Adélio Carneiro and Gil Gonçalves, where he completed his twelfth year of schooling.

He is currently in Switzerland doing his degree at the Lucerne School of Applied Sciences and Arts, with teachers Anne Jelle Visser and Henrique Costa. As an orchestral musician he works regularly with the Orquestra XXI in Portugal and the Schweizer Jugend Sinfonie Orchester in Switzerland.
