He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music—Instrumental Performance, Wind Instruments (Tuba)—from ESMAE, as well as a Level 4 QNQ certificate in Wind and Percussion Instrumental Performance from ESPROARTE. In 2009, he was a finalist for the YMFE (Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe) scholarship.

He has performed as a guest musician on several recordings, as well as in concerts with various musical ensembles, such as:

These activities are fundamental to who I am and how I live; ultimately, art and music are the foundation of my life, and my instrument is an extension of myself when I play it.

He was awarded 1st Prize – Euphonium in the Senior Category in 2016; 3rd Prize – Euphonium in the Senior Category in 2010; 2nd Prize – Euphonium in the Junior Category in 2008; all at the Terras de La Salette International Wind Instrument Competition.

Professionally, he has been part of the Academia de Artes de Chaves, the Calouste Gulbenkian Music Conservatory in Braga, the Music School of Grupo Coral de Esmoriz, and the companies Espalha Ideias and Moldin.

He currently serves as Euphonium Section Leader in DOGMA Brass Band and Banda Sinfónica Transmontana. He also teaches at the Academia de Música e Artes de Avintes (ACMA), NCM – New Concept Music, Agrupamento de Escolas de Ermesinde, and the Banda Filarmónica de Penedono.
