Born in Cinfães, Tiago Pinto completed the course of Wind Instrument and Percussion in the class of Professor Hermínio Fonseca and then entered the Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo do Porto in the class of Professor David Silva.
During his career he had the opportunity to work with teachers and soloists such as Ian Bousfield, Nathan Zgonc, Bill Thomas, Massimo La Rosa, David Taylor, Filipe Alves, João Martinho, Ricardo Mollá Albero, Karol Gajda, Jaume Gavillán, José Angel Isla, Juan Sanjuan, David Rejano, among others.
He regularly collaborates as a guest with several orchestras such as Orquestra de Jazz do Porto, Orquestra da Costa Atlântica, Orquestra Filarmónica Portuguesa, Orquestra Sine-Nomine, Movimento Musical Cooperativo, among others.
In 2018 he made the national premiere of the concert Continental Concerto by composer Gregory Fritze under the direction of conductor José Alberto Pina.
In 2020 he was admitted to the Young Luca Brass festival (Belgium) and also to the European Spirit of Youth Orchestra ESYO (Italy). He was also admitted as a reinforcement of the Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras.
In 2021 he was awarded second prize in the International Kings Peak Music Competition.
